CLUB
VISIT TO PONTEFRACT - 31st
January
On
the evening of Wednesday 31st January 17 members of the York branch joined
members from Tadcaster and Castleford branches for a night of friendly
competition at the "Vulcan" Club, the branch headquarters of
Pontefract branch. Needless to say we were made very welcome.

The
competition was in "darts & dominoes" and proved an
excellent medium for getting to know members from other
branches.

After the "sport", Pontefract entertained all the visitors
royally. The provided a superb buffet supper that even the vultures
from North Yorkshire couldn't do justice to! Although we gave it
our best shot!!
It wasn't like this in the NAAFI!
